Ingredients

  • 1 16-ounce package of spaghetti
  • 12 medium Wild Caught Texas Shrimp, peeled
  • 12 ounces choice boneless beef top sirloin
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of water to boil the spaghetti and cook it according to the package for al dente pasta. Drain and reserve one cup of pasta water.
  • Heat up one tablespoon each of the butter and olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the chopped shallot and cook for three minutes, then add the garlic and red pepper flake and cook for an additional two minutes. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook on both sides for one to two minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and put it into a bowl; cover it to keep warm.
  • Add the wine and lemon juice to the skillet and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and olive oil along with the spaghetti and shrimp, adding the pasta water according to how much sauce you want to render.
  • Serve and top with chopped parsley. Add salt and pepper to taste.
